The First Year Moot was the established by the Society the year after it was founded in 1987, and since then has been held every year. The same team-construction discussed on the previous web-page applies to our First Year Moot. This competition consists of a round-robin tournament, where teams of two will compete for the title of First Year Mooting Competition Winner. All teams of two must be in their first year of Law at the University of Aberdeen. Don’t be nervous, judges are cognisant of the fact that mooters are in their first year of law and will not be too harsh during proceedings.
